Amy Tan

Physician

Dr. Amy Tan is a native New Yorker from Queens and graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. After being awarded her Doctor of Medicine from New York University. medical school, she received Internal Medicine training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, and continued Gastroenterology and Hepatology training in the Mount Sinai Health System, primarily at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s, West, and Beth Israel. During fellowship, she also spent time at the Mount Sinai Hospital training in liver disease, transplant hepatology, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Tan is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and American Gastroenterological Association. As a Gastroenterologist, Dr. Tan specializes in a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and conditions, including acid reflux, dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, peptic ulcer disease, gastritis, celiac disease, colonic polyps, colon cancer, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C. She is fluent in Mandarin and medical Spanish. She lives on Long Island with her husband. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking new recipes, traveling, television, and cinema.
